Time Traveler's Wife had a good run but HBO has decided that it wasn't worth another season. So, why won't it become Rose Leslie's new Game of Thrones?


The idea of time travel being caused by a gene brought a whole new definition to the concept of time travel. The show humanized the whole affair, trying to make it as relatable as possible but it seems HBO wasn't convinced. 

In a statement announcing their reason for the cancellation, HBO said, "it was our privilege to partner with master storytellers Steven Moffat and David Nutter," said an HBO spokesperson.

"We are so grateful for their passion, hard work, and care for adapting this beloved book. We also thank Theo [James] and Rose [Leslie], and the rest of our brilliant cast for their heartfelt performances, which completely captivated audiences."

What Next For Henry and Clare and Henry?

Steven Moffatt, the writer had earlier said he was writing season 2 of the show hoping that the network would give him the chance to continue. With the show canceled, it leaves the story of the librarian and his wife in shambles with unfinished pieces in different timelines.

Fans can't help but be disappointed by the ending of the story because so many parts of it will go untold. It is only fair to assume that Clare later came to terms with her husband's problems and lived happily ever after as he skipped from time to time.

Next Projects For Theo James and Rose Leslie

Luckily for both stars, their previous hit shows have all been renewed for another chapter and they will both be welcome. Theo James will probably be welcome to play Cameron Babcock in White Lotus whose second shooting is about to resume. 

Kristen Longcare is also expected to return to BBC''s Vigil and Rose Leslie will be the person to play that character. With the main characters sorted, the only people with an uncertain future are the creators who now have the option of marketing the show to another network.
